A holiday message for you

Dear Parent,

It’s Christmas day and I have a story to tell you.

Earlier this month I visited Hong Kong to attend my nephew’s wedding. It was so lovely to see all of my family on this joyous occasion. We even did our very first family trip to Japan!

The day of our return on a late night flight from Japan we received news of the unexpected passing of my father that evening in his sleep. With heavy hearts we went straight to the hospital from the airport to say our final farewells.

Our whole family was sadden, especially my mother who has been married to my dad since she was 17 years old. Despite all the grief around us, I felt truly blessed to have been able to spend some quality time with my father the week prior.

My telling you about this is not to sadden you but to celebrate a life well lived.

My 93 year old father couldn’t have picked a better time (as if he had a say in this) as all his children were there for him, including my sister Joyce who was also visiting from Canada.

In loving memory of my father whom I am so grateful for, I would like to dedicate this message to him. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without his love and support. Thank You Dad!

Also, I would like to extend my gratitude to you for being a part of my life in 2016.

This newsletter would not exist without you and your continued support. I hope through your reading, you have gained some helpful ideas and inspiration on how to better support your child with their continued development.

Sending my warmest wishes to you and your family for a joyous holiday season full of all the things you LOVE!
