A miracle that takes time!

By June 3, 2019September 11th, 2022

Has it ever occurred to you that the potentially miraculous changes occurring in your child’s life take time?

As parents, while we are busily focusing on the next important steps that our children need to work on, have we ever looked back and appreciated how far our children have progressed? And just what a miracle that was?

‘Miracles’ take time.

The anatomy of a miracle is like an acorn growing into an oak tree. Beneath the surface, each element is being gathered, shifting and evolving to support the eventual blossoming. On the surface, this could look as though nothing is happening.

The development of a child is kind of like that.

We notice the big changes, what we call the developmental milestones of rolling, sitting, crawling and walking. Most of us have no idea the many tiny steps the child needs to take to cultivate these into eventual achievements.

The same goes for your child with special challenges.

Your child has the ability to learn, just like every child does. It might take longer and require more support so be patient. Know that the miracle that is your child will evolve in its own time!

Along with a lot of patience from you…
