Mandy
mother of 8 year old Jocelyn with Global Developmental Disability
I’ve tried different approaches of therapy for Jocelyn since infancy with very little results. Our Occupational Therapist highly recommended Judy’s work so I decided to give it a try as Jocelyn was rigid with limited range of movement. Her proprioception is poor which also affects her balance. Jocelyn has frequent injuries and we were afraid to challenge her to take risks.
After the initial 3 sessions with Judy Cheng at Move To Learn Therapy, I noticed an immediate improvement in the blood circulation to Jocelyn’s hands and feet, and her muscles are less tense.
We committed to an Intensive block of sessions and continued to notice improvement in Jocelyn’s balance. Her transition movements are now smoother and it was much easier for her to get down on the floor to play. Along with that, Jocelyn has also shown an increased interest in self-exploration, is more independent, exudes greater confidence and has been challenging herself more!
