Gio & Alex

parents of 2 year old Eric with unspecified Developmental Delay and Hypotonia

As parents of a special needs child, we struggled because we wanted Eric to succeed and knew therapy was key but therapy sessions were a real struggle for him. We thought there had to be a different way. Then we found Judy, a God-send. The non-stop crying sessions of the past turned into fun learning activities.

After the first 2 sessions with Judy, Eric learned to sit on his own (a moment that we will never forget), something he had not accomplished in months and months of traditional therapy.

A few sessions later we saw Eric “practicing” on his own what Judy “taught” him. As if somehow the therapy activated his curiosity to learn how his body works and made him learn that movement is fun. His attitude changed and ours did too; now we know that we will be chasing after him for years to come.

Eric is a much happier baby now and has been sleeping much better too. He is also spending more time playing on his tummy, something he used to hate.

I am amazed by these little movements that are new and I can see on his face and eyes that he is exploring his new found movements and space. He has been vocalizing a lot more with different tones. I can’t wait to see what he is going to discover next!
