Andrea

mother of 8 year old Jonah with vision impairment

I was recommended by a friend to look into the Anat Baniel Method for my son Jonah who has recently required vision therapy.

(After 7 sessions over 2 months)

We have noticed some changes, especially in his posture. Last week he ran in his school’s cross country meet and did not stop to walk once (which he usually does).  I think that he did not get out of breath as much because his posture was better.

It’s harder to figure out the improvement in his vision, but Jonah has not complained of it  and seems to be more comfortable reading for longer periods of time. I’m feeling more optimistic and not as stressed about doing vision exercises.

(After 19 sessions over a period of 5.5 months)

Jonah has loved his sessions. Overall, we see really significant changes in his movement, his co-ordination, and his body awareness. There is a greater sense of freedom when he moves. Jonah is less reliant on his glasses and will often “forget” to wear them for a number of days.

Thanks so much for all of your help Judy.
